UWV grants tender for GRC tooling to CompLions and Capgemini
Software developer CompLions and Capgemini will jointly set-up a part of the information security for UWV. Both organizations have won the contract through a recently launched tender. UWV houses the personal data of millions of Dutch citizens. CompLions and Capgemini are delighted with the trust that UWV has expressed in their organizations.
Security and stability
The security of personal data is of great importance to Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen (UWV). In order to continue to guarantee the stability and continuity of its information security, UWV has chosen GRCcontrol, the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software of CompLions. Capgemini will execute the organizational implementation.
‘Proud and pleased’
Director and founder Ron Boscu of CompLions: “We are very proud and pleased that UWV and Capgemini see GRCcontrol as the best solution to make the information security of a complex organization like UWV robust and simple. This gives UWV the opportunity to replace a multitude of individual reports from several business units and to integrate them into one central management system. This saves a great deal of time and makes it possible to consult up-to-date control information at any time.”
UWV, an independent governmental agency, is responsible for the execution of a number of laws and regulations in the field of Social Affairs and Employment in The Netherlands. Since this involves processing the personal data of millions of Dutch citizens, UWV has long felt the need to process information on information security in a more consistent, clear and structured manner. The organization also wants to simplify reporting on activities, incidents and measures and on the extent to which UWV meets the standards frameworks such as BIR/BIO, SUWI, DigiD and GDPR. A GRC software package offers the best tools and GRCcontrol proved to be the ideal solution.
CompLions and Capgemini will start the implementation in Q4 2019.
