Japan topped the list of countries with the most ISO 27001 certificates in 2024, with exactly 5,258.

It was followed by the United States (3.545) and Italy (2.926).

Andorra came in last, with just one certificate to its name.

Worldwide, just under 49.000 ISO 27001 certificates were awarded, covering over 81.000 locations.
